A brass-framed arch with an orange cloth backdrop sits behind the idol. A priest in a bare-chested white dhoti with a yellow border leans in to adjust the garlands, while another in white stands at left. Brass oil lamps with lit wicks, a silver-lidded bowl, plantains, coconut halves and fruit offerings sit on a colourful striped mat in the foreground. Several people are partly visible at the edges, bringing the visible count to a small group.2017-03-16December 05 20162016-12-05 +1 copiesOctober 13 20182018-10-13ADIKAILASA on 1/7/20222022-01-07October 14 20182018-10-14October 10 20182018-10-10A close view of a ritual altar with a deity murti or framed image garlanded with thick bands of white jasmine and orange-yellow marigolds accented with red flowers. A metal oil lamp with a bright flame sits at the lower centre, surrounded by marigold petals and scattered flowers on brick-coloured platforms. A silver ceremonial implement with an ornate handle and a small elephant-head finial rests at the left, and a brass bowl holds offerings. Ornate silver and gold metalwork frames the shrine, and a white-robed figure is partly visible at the left edge. No full face is shown. The scene suggests puja or aarti at a shrine.2015-10-18A photograph of a puja at an ornate golden throne draped in orange cloth and heavily garlanded with white jasmine, red roses and yellow marigolds. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with an orange border holds a silver lamp with a flame over the offerings. Silver lamps, a brass pot, bananas, coconut halves and a plate of flower petals sit on a striped rug. The page is about a Vishesha Deeksha homa, but no a person candidate is visible, and the throne is empty of a seated figure. Other white-clad people stand in the background.2017-03-16A temple-style puja at a shrine: a gilded arched backdrop frames an orange cloth, and a deity murti or ritual form is heavily decorated with red roses, yellow marigolds, white jasmine garlands and green leaves, with a rudraksha-bead garland draped across it. In the foreground a shirtless priest in white dhoti with yellow borders pours or offers from a small vessel near a brass lamp with a lit flame, beside bananas, coconut halves and brass pots. A second shirtless man in a white dhoti sits at the left edge, partly cropped.2017-03-16
