A bare-chested priest in a yellow head-cloth and white dhoti stands before a brick fire altar (homa kunda) built from yellow-painted bricks, with flames rising from the wood inside. He holds a copper vessel above the fire and wears a rudraksha mala. Brass pots, bowls of fruit, flower garlands and offering plates surround the altar. Behind him, men in white and orange-saffron cloths sit on a red floor beside a stone pillar, with a traditional rangoli-style offering spread in front. The scene is an evening homa or yagna, an oblation fire ritual.

A bare-chested man in a yellow head cloth and white dhoti performs a homa at a brick-built fire pit. He holds a ladle over flames rising from the pit, which is decorated with yellow and red powder and marigold garlands. Seated behind him in a stone-walled courtyard are several men in white and saffron dhotis and shawls. The scene is an evening ritual fire ceremony with a yagna-style setup.

A photograph of a homa fire ritual at night. A central figure, bare-chested with a yellow turban, a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a white sacred cloth over his shoulder, holds a stick above a brass bowl beside a fire burning on a square brick altar decorated with yellow and red powders and flower petals. Surrounding the altar are brass vessels, bunches of grapes, bananas, coconut halves, and flower-garlanded plates. Behind him, several men sit on the floor: one in an orange cloth, others in white dhotis, and one wearing glasses. The setting is a stone-walled hall with a brick wall and arched doorway.

A homa fire ritual in a temple-style room. A square fire pit built of yellow-painted bricks, decorated with white sprinkled powder and red flower petals, holds a blazing fire. A priest with a yellow turban and gold necklaces, bare-chested, pours offerings from a long brass ladle. Two seated assistants in white dhotis sit nearby, one bare-chested with a gold chain and one in orange with a gold chain. A wooden door with brass studs stands behind, and a kalasha with yellow flower garlands sits near the fire. A signboard in the upper left shows Telugu and other text beside a fan.

A homa fire ceremony at a heavy wooden door with brass studs in a brick-walled room. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a yellow-and-red cloth around his waist and a yellow head cloth pours liquid from a brass vessel near the door. Another priest in a pink-and-white dhoti holds a brass bowl over a brick fire altar stacked with yellow bricks, where a flame burns amid marigold garlands, fruit, flowers and offerings. A man in a yellow dhoti kneels at the altar. On the right, two men in orange and white stand with folded hands, one wearing glasses and a rudraksha-style gold necklace. Smoke rises from the fire pit.
