The figure wears a magenta turban with a jewelled ornament, a red bindi, and long dark hair. Its magenta robe is draped with a gold belt, layered beaded necklaces, a gold pendant, and ankle beads. The right hand is raised in blessing, and the feet rest on a gilded pedestal with a red flower. The arch behind has ornate gold relief carving.2012-04-22October 29 20142014-10-29September 26 20182018-09-26A life-size silver-toned statue of a female deity stands before an ornate gilded arch and gold-brocade backdrop, with red drapery at left and a green palm frond overhead. The figure wears a tall jewelled crown with red and white gems, a red bindi, large jewelled earrings, layered pink-and-green jewelled necklaces, a jewelled belt, and a green and pink silk sari. One hand is raised in abhaya-like blessing and the other is lowered, palm open. The setting suggests an alankaram adornment at a temple shrine. The figure is a murti, not a living person.2024-12-10August 15 20172017-08-15September 10 20122012-09-10April 22 20172017-04-22October 11 20172017-10-11Photo 11715231
