Overhead view of a ritual performed on a paved courtyard at a Hindu puja setup. Three men sit on the ground on striped woven mats: a seated man in white dhoti with a flower garland and bare chest offers something from a small vessel, facing a man in orange-and-white cloth with a rudraksha mala who holds a ritual implement. A third man on the left wears white with a shawl and glasses and sits beside a wooden box draped in flower garlands. In front are plates of bananas, rice, betel-leaf offerings, marigold and jasmine flowers, brass lamps and kumkum bowls, with a yellow-cloth bundle wrapped in marigold garlands. A sunken yellow square fire pit lies behind them. Rudra abhishekam-style offerings are arranged around the central setup.2017-04-17April 17 20172017-04-17April 17 20172017-04-17April 17 20172017-04-17A ritual scene outdoors on a stone courtyard. Three priests sit on striped mats around a spread of offerings laid on banana leaves: bananas, fruit, coconuts wrapped in cloth, flower garlands, kumkum and small brass bowls, and an oil lamp. The priest on the right wears a bare upper body with a rudraksha mala, an orange cloth over one shoulder and a white dhoti, with a tilak on his forehead, and gestures toward the offerings. The seated priest in the centre wears a floral garland and white dhoti and holds his hands together. A third man in a white dhoti stands behind them, filming with a camera. A sunken yellow stone fire pit sits at left and a large white ceremonial drum at the top right. Garlands of yellow and orange flowers hang at the right edge.2017-04-17April 03 20172017-04-03July 18 20132013-07-18April 17 20172017-04-17Outdoor ritual on a stone-paved courtyard during a puja at a temple-like hall. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a pink-and-white border and a floral garland sits at center, reaching toward banana leaves set with bananas, turmeric-marked offerings, kumkum, flower-decorated plates, and small brass oil lamps. Beside him, a second bare-chested priest in an orange-saffron cloth with a hair knot sits and tends the offerings. Another man in white sits with folded hands in the background behind a striped mat. On the left, a seated priest in a white dhoti holds a whisk-like fan. In the foreground, a large mound draped in yellow marigold garlands and a brown cloth holds a leaf-wrapped bundle. Yellow flowers and brass trays of grains and sweets complete the scene. A square yellow-tiled fire pit is behind the priests.2017-04-17November 10 20112011-11-10March 15 20172017-03-15Photo 11734633
