Central figure wears orange robes, a long purple-pink flower garland and gold necklaces, with a visible hand raised in greeting. Behind him, a figure holds a golden trident-topped staff. Flanking him, a girl in red and gold attire with a gold crown and white flower garland stands near a trident. Attendants in white saris and white shirts walk alongside. Above them, colourful ceremonial parasols with floral and bird motifs and orange tassels shade the procession. Several people carry umbrellas and staffs; people in white with rudraksha malas fill the foreground. Sunlit dusty ground and festive flags in the background suggest a festival parade.2008-12-31A dusty outdoor procession moves along a red earth path lined with palm trees and a low stone wall. Large ornate parasols with red, yellow and blue panels and painted floral and bird motifs are carried on long wooden poles by men in white dhotis and shirts. Behind them, a group of people in saffron and orange robes walk, with a woman in orange wearing a white and orange garland. A crowd of devotees in white clothes fills the foreground and background, and a man carries a brass vessel on his shoulder.
