Outdoor temple procession on a pale stone paved courtyard under bright sun with palm trees behind a roofed shelter. A large orange and blue ceremonial parasol with tassels is carried at the centre. A man in the centre wears a maroon-red dhoti and shawl, a white floral garland and gold necklaces, walking barefoot. Around him, men in orange and maroon robes carry silver bowls, long brass horns and ceremonial fans, and a drummer beats a drum on the left. Other attendants in white dhotis and saffron sashes follow, creating a ritual procession.2015-02-05Photo 11710174Photo 11710077January 01 20172017-01-01A procession walks along a dirt road lined with palm trees and thatched huts under bright sunlight. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes and a long white flower garland walks among other saffron-robed sannyasis, one holding a tall golden staff. Ahead, a man in white kurta and a bare-footed devotee carry brass ritual vessels, and several attendants in white dhotis with yellow and orange shawls hold colourful striped and tasselled umbrellas over the group. Some participants wear rudraksha malas. The scene suggests a temple procession.2008-12-25December 24 20152015-12-24Photo 11710364January 30 20172017-01-30Photo 11709695January 01 20172017-01-01A procession in an open courtyard beneath a canopy with a large umbrella-like parasol in red, yellow, green and blue tassels. Several people in saffron and orange clothing walk in line; women wear orange saris and beaded necklaces, and a bald man in a saffron cloth and garlands carries a ceremonial staff. Behind them stands a shrine with a deity murti group on a dais, and two white decorative standards with a blue emblem are carried. Young boys in yellow-orange dhotis and beaded garlands stand to the right, and a man in white is at the back.2015-02-23February 05 20152015-02-05
