The child wears a saffron-orange cloth wrapped around the waist, bare-chested with white tilak on the forehead, rudraksha mala beads around the neck and wrists, and white stripes on the arms. Behind, seated spectators in casual clothing watch from the steps, and gold-tipped brass lamps stand on the stone ledges.2016-12-18January 08 20062006-01-08December 26 20162016-12-26A man stands in profile with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, a gesture of greeting or prayer. He wears a saffron-orange dhoti and matching shawl draped over one shoulder, with a dark brown border on the cloth, and a rudraksha mala of dark beads around his neck. His long dark hair is swept back and he has a red tilak on his forehead. Behind him is a pale building with a green roof, blurred foliage, and a paved courtyard. Swamiji (probable): the orange shawl, long swept-back hair and rudraksha mala are visible cues, shown here as a devotee in anjali mudra.2011-02-21 +1 copiesPhoto 11710153May 04 20132013-05-04Photograph of a man standing waist-deep in a river, seen from the side and slightly from behind. He is bare-chested with long dark hair tied back, wearing an orange saffron cloth draped over his shoulder and wrapped around his waist. His hands are cupped together in front of him in a prayer gesture over the water while he looks downward. In the background, other bathers and wooden boats are visible along the far riverbank.2006-01-08July 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copies
