A close photograph of a homa fire ritual. A seated figure in red-orange robes and rudraksha malas holds a golden ceremonial ladle or sceptre over a flame rising from a dark stone or metal fire pit. Silver and brass ritual vessels, a small bowl and a pestle-like implement sit in the foreground, with flowers in silver containers and a drum-like object at the right edge. Only the lower body, hands and forearms are visible, so no face is shown. The flame and smoke are the strongest visual focus, set against warm red fabric.2017-11-05November 05 20172017-11-05November 05 20172017-11-05A homa fire ritual is shown in close framing. A person wearing a maroon-red robe sits cross-legged, with only the lower body and hands visible; a bead mala hangs at the neck and one hand rests on a silver-capped staff. The other hand holds a bundle of dried grass dropped onto a dark stone fire pit where flames rise. Beside the pit sit a brass bowl with liquid, a stone grinding mortar with a black pestle, and ornate silver-lidded vessels on a pink and cream cloth.2017-11-05October 03 20182018-10-03Photo 11706341 +1 copiesOctober 23 20172017-10-23Photo 11716379August 28 20182018-08-28October 23 20172017-10-23January 05 20192019-01-05January 06 20192019-01-06
