Several wear white and orange vibhuti or kumkum on their foreheads, rudraksha malas, and gold necklaces and bangles. Behind them, a screen shows a large audience, and a framed portrait of a woman in red hangs on the wall. Rows of brass oil lamps stand along the floor, and men in white dhotis and shawls sit further back.
