Night-time outdoor ritual. A man with a tall black turban and a crescent ornament at the front, a tilak on his forehead, and layered rudraksha malas over a rust-red sleeveless garment with a leopard-print waistband sits cross-legged on an ornate silver chair with his eyes closed, holding a stone pestle over a small metal mortar. Beside him a small flame burns on a dish with green herbs and leaves in bowls, and a clay kalasha-like pot sits in front. To the right an ornate silver peetha holds a decorated deity murti and garlands. A microphone stand is behind him and a woven basket sits at left. Yellow-edged cloth covers the table.2017-09-14A man with long black hair and a white crescent ornament seated in eyes-closed meditation on a silver-and-cushioned chair at night, outdoors among green foliage. He wears a rust-orange sleeveless garment, leopard-print cloth at the waist, multiple rudraksha malas and a gold chain, and red-orange armbands. Before him stands a low stone grinding setup with a pestle, turmeric-yellow powder, bowls of herbs and leaves, and a wicker basket. A bronze standing deity figure holding a lamp and an ornate silver throne decorated with white garlands sit to his right. Colourful striped cloth covers the ground beneath.2017-09-14September 14 20172017-09-14September 14 20172017-09-14September 14 20172017-09-14 +1 copiesPhoto 11706519 +1 copiesPhoto 11706535 +2 copiesSeptember 14 20172017-09-14A seated man in rust-red sleeveless robes and red dhoti sits cross-legged on a silver-backed chair draped with a leopard-print cloth, eyes closed in concentration. He wears a large black turban with a white crescent ornament, a gold chain, and multiple rudraksha malas across his chest and arms. Before him on a striped cloth is a fire burning in a clay bowl, with a stone grinding slab, a wicker basket, bowls of herbs and a brass figure of a deity murti in the background. The man appears to be grinding or preparing herbal medicine by the fire, a fire-offering style preparation. Dense green foliage fills the background in dim evening light. The probable Swamiji is shown in an appearance-based label with turban, crescent, rudraksha malas and ornate chain cues, and is seated in a preparation role.2017-09-14 +1 copiesSeptember 14 20172017-09-14 +1 copiesSeptember 14 20172017-09-14Photo 11706496 +1 copies
