A brass oil lamp with a bright flame sits in the foreground at the base of the stage. The dark backdrop has ornate patterned panels and vertical stage light beams, and a floral shower of petals falls around the seated figure. The setting appears to be a Krishna Janmashtami celebration, with the seated figure presented as a deity-like central figure on a decorated altar. Appearance cues are limited, and the figure is partly obscured by garlands and distance, so identity is uncertain. Foreground devotees in red clothing are only partially visible at the bottom edge.2017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14A dark, theatrical stage set framed by ornate patterned draperies and spotlight beams. At centre sits a seated figure on a canopied dais draped in red fabric and strung with white and yellow marigold garlands, with a red-and-white flower garland hanging from the figure's neck. The figure wears an orange-red robe and a red head covering, and sits in a meditative posture. Dozens of marigolds and red flowers decorate the dais and lower platform. Brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel, and offering pots sit in the foreground, and a red-clad person's shoulder is visible at the lower right edge. Petals drift in the air. The seated figure is a sculpted or painted form presented as an object of worship, so the candidate appears only as a depiction, and identity is uncertain.2017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14A seated figure in saffron and orange robes sits centrally under a canopy of marigold garlands and red flowers on a decorated dais, with a white garland around the neck and a tilak on the forehead. Dim stage lighting with green and yellow beams surrounds the scene. To the right, a deity murti of Krishna is adorned with a colourful floral arch of red, yellow, green and white flowers. Oil lamps, brass vessels and floral offerings are arranged on the floor in front. The setting suggests a Krishna Janmashtami puja at an ashram hall. a person is seated at the centre, though the figure is distant and dimly lit.2017-08-14A photograph of a seated figure at the centre of an ornately decorated altar-like canopy, lit by stage spotlights against a dark background. The figure wears orange-saffron robes, a red head covering, and a long white flower garland, and is seated on a red-draped throne. The canopy is hung with strings of white and yellow flower garlands and red marigolds, and rose petals drift through the air. Oil lamps burn at the lower left and right. The setting suggests a festival darshan, though no further ritual detail is clearly visible.2017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14
