A man in rust-red robes, rudraksha malas and a thick gold armband sits on an ornate gilded throne with red cushions and places his right hand on the head of a bare-chested devotee in a white dhoti who kneels before him. Beside them a saffron-clad attendant with rudraksha malas holds a white cloth, and another white-clad man holds a tray of red fruit. Behind them, several people in white dhotis and saffron robes stand and sit on a stone-tiled platform near a potted plant and a green cloth. A stone pillar and a figure in a blue jacket appear at the right edge. Swamiji candidate appears seated on the throne; appearance cues include long swept-back hair, a dark beard, rudraksha malas and gold earrings, so this is a probable identification.2018-02-04June 01 20172017-06-01Photo 11708299 +2 copiesMay 02 20172017-05-02July 28 20172017-07-28 +1 copiesA seated guru in a red-brown robe and a long gold-embellished garland of rudraksha beads, with a long dark swept-back hair and a white horizontal mark on his forehead, touches the shaved head of a young child kneeling before him. The child wears a white garment and a rudraksha mala, and holds a small folded cloth. A gold-framed throne with red cushions and a golden altar-like table stand beside him. A bare-chested bearded man with rudraksha beads and white ash marks smiles at left, another bearded man in white ash stands behind, and a figure in orange robes stands at the far left edge. Red drapes hang behind.2017-04-26May 05 20172017-05-05August 02 20172017-08-02 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple hall during a ritual initiation. A seated man in red-maroon robes with gold necklaces, rudraksha beads and gold armlets sits on a silver throne-style chair, with a distinctive long swept-back hairstyle and forehead markings, in a person appearance. Beside him, a bare-chested attendant in orange cloth and rudraksha malas holds a white cord, while another attendant in orange with white sacred markings on his arms and back assists a kneeling male devotee with bare upper body. A woman in white sari sits at the lower right edge. Carved stone pillars and a red cloth backdrop frame the scene.2017-09-17
