Most wear saffron-orange cloths, while others in white dhotis with yellow borders work nearby. Bare feet press into the freshly turned soil, and small green seedlings sprout from the ground in the foreground. Several rudraksha malas hang around the necks of the workers. The scene suggests a communal seva of clearing and preparing ground at an ashram site.2016-09-04A photograph of a temple construction site with palm trees behind. In the foreground, several people dig into a mound of reddish-brown earth with shovels and hoes. On the left, a man in white ritual clothes bends forward to dig, while nearby a woman in a red blouse and white sari holds a tray. In the centre and right, three men in saffron-orange robes, some with a sash over one shoulder, work the soil with tools. Additional people in white clothing stand in the background.2006-12-09Photo 11705151Photo 11705146
