Many raise their arms and clap joyfully. Colourful paper lanterns and string lights hang from the white canopy, and a screen and golden decorations appear at the far end. A bright red mat covers the floor where people sit. The crowd is too dense to count individually and no single figure is identifiable as a person from appearance alone.2016-05-04Photo 11703323 +1 copiesPhoto 11703056 +1 copiesApril 26 20162016-04-26Photo 11714948 +1 copiesA large photograph of a crowded event tent with a white fabric ceiling and rows of hanging orange, yellow and red tassel decorations. Hundreds of seated devotees fill the floor, most dressed in white dhotis and white shirts with red or orange shawls and saffron-toned sashes; many wear lanyards. In the foreground, a bald man with a white beard and white clothing sits among the crowd, and a man in a white dhoti with a red shawl sits nearby. A large stage screen at the far end shows a figure, and the stage area is partly visible behind a dark backdrop. Ceiling lights hang among the decorations.2016-05-04
