A man with long hair, wearing an orange-saffron shawl and a heavy garland of green leaves, red and yellow flowers, stands before a gilded golden throne with red velvet cushions and a red backrest. Beside him, a bare-chested priest with white sacred ash markings on his arms and chest and an orange-red beaded necklace holds a silver tray of fruit and offerings. A shaved-headed attendant in orange robes and rudraksha beads stands behind them, and a man in a yellow shawl and white dhoti watches at left. A large backdrop of a deity in red and white behind the throne and gilded plates of flowers and offerings at the lower right complete the scene.2010-09-18May 09 20152015-05-09 +1 copiesPhotograph of a ceremonial event on a golden-throne dais inside an ornate temple-style hall. A figure with long swept-back hair, a flower crown, a gold-and-red garland and an orange-red gold-bordered garment stands at centre, hands open, facing an elderly man in saffron-orange robes with a shawl and a rudraksha-style bead necklace. A bald man in a red-and-gold dhoti with a white and gold garland holds a tray on the left. A kneeling priest in white with gold-bordered cloth and a red-and-white garland sits at lower right. Gold lion-form armrests of thrones, brass lamps and garlanded pillars frame the scene. The long-haired central figure matches the page's Swamiji reference through hair, adornments and saffron-gold clothing, so this is a probable identification.2016-01-03October 25 20152015-10-25May 09 20152015-05-09 +1 copiesJanuary 03 20162016-01-03Photo 11731391 +1 copiesPhotograph of a crowded ceremonial gathering at a golden throne. A man seated on a red velvet throne with a gilded lion-shaped armrest wears a red shawl, a gold necklace and a long swept-back hairstyle, and smiles while taking a folded paper from an outstretched hand. Around him devotees in white dhotis and orange shawls crowd close, one holding a tray of fruit, another in a saffron-coloured garment kneels offering something. A camera on a tripod stands behind, and gold draped backdrop and white canopy frame the scene. Probable Swamiji is seated on the throne with a red shawl, gold necklace and long swept-back hair, receiving devotee offerings.2016-01-03
