Indoor photo of a long-haired man with a white vertical tilak on his forehead, bare-shouldered in an orange-saffron cloth draped over his body, with a rudraksha-style bead strand and carved pendant beads at his waist. He places his right palm on the head of a short-haired boy in a black athletic t-shirt, who looks down and holds a small wrapped packet in his hands. Behind them a woman in a red-orange sari with a pendant necklace watches, and a camera operator and a green studio light are visible at the right edge against a plain white wall. The man's distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha-style adornments are consistent with a person, though his face is not clearly confirmed; the scene reads as a blessing given to a child.2012-10-09A photograph of an indoor ashram darshan scene. A long-haired figure in saffron-orange clothing with a white forehead band and a rudraksha-style bead necklace places a hand on the head of a young boy in a red-and-white striped shirt, who stands with palms pressed together in namaste. A younger child in a white and yellow striped shirt is held up nearby, with a woman in an orange sari and glasses behind them and another person in red at the top edge. The setting has a red curtain and a white wall.2012-10-09March 20 20132013-03-20March 20 20132013-03-20A photograph of a long-haired figure in a rust-orange shawl and a red-and-orange beaded mala with large round beads reaching out to place a hand on the head of a young boy in a red and white t-shirt, who bows his head. Behind them, other people in white and orange clothing stand or sit, and a red curtain hangs on the right. Several bald and seated attendees are visible in the foreground, and a bright window and wall form the background.2013-05-12A photograph of a shaved-headed boy in a white-and-grey striped shirt with a rudraksha mala around his neck bowing his head forward while a man with long, swept-back dark hair and a saffron-orange sleeveless top places both hands on the boy's head and neck in a blessing. Behind them a woman in a white sari with a gold necklace and a red mark on her forehead stands watching, and another woman in a dark outfit with a red bindi appears at right. Colourful cloth hangings decorate the background.2009-12-06A photograph of a seated man with long, swept-back dark hair and a white horizontal forehead band, wearing an orange-saffron garment and a white-and-gold patterned waist cloth. He reaches out and places his right hand on the head of a young boy in a dark grey t-shirt, who leans toward him. A second boy in a white shirt with an orange lanyard bends forward at right, smiling. Behind them a woman in a red blouse wears gold bangles, a person in a red shirt stands in the background, and a man operates a video camera on a tripod against a red curtain. The setting is an indoor hall with a white wall and green stage light.2012-10-09A photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron wrap and rudraksha malas pressing his right palm onto the forehead of a young boy in a dark striped polo shirt, who stands with hands folded in anjali. The man smiles; both wear rudraksha beads, and the boy also wears a pendant. Behind them, people in orange, yellow and white clothing move in a crowded hall with red drapes on the left. A green light glows in the background. Visible people include the two main figures and several others partly in view, so the count is in the 6-20 range.2012-07-18A photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor hall. A long-haired woman in an orange-brown garment with an orange rudraksha-style bead garland lays her right hand on the head of a young man in a white t-shirt with a blue lanyard badge, who bows forward. Beside them a person in orange-brown robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace stands, and a shirtless man with a white bandage on his forehead is behind. A blurred orange-rimmed basin sits at lower left, and a white air-conditioning unit is on the left wall. Several other people are visible in the background. Cues for the figure in orange-brown robes with a rudraksha mala are present, but his face is partly turned and the image does not clearly establish him as a person, so the identity is uncertain.2013-05-14A seated long-haired figure in a saffron-orange shawl with a long orange-red rudraksha mala places a hand on the head of a kneeling young boy in a white shirt and dark lanyard. Behind them, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a ceremonial gold-toned necklace and white forehead markings smiles and gestures, and other people in white clothes stand in the background. A small orange-and-green woven basket of offerings is visible at left. The scene suggests a blessing or initiation moment during a satsang setting. The seated figure is an appearance-based a person candidate, identified by long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala.2013-05-14May 19 20132013-05-19July 01 20132013-07-01 +1 copies
