Night photo of a padayatra procession at an outdoor ashram courtyard lit by string lights and bright floodlights. Several men in white dhotis and white kurtas with red-and-white shawls walk in line, some holding up hands in greeting or devotion. Foreground, a man in white with a red shawl holds a large pink banner whose printed Kannada and English text names a person and Mahashivaratri padayatra dates 26.02.2016 to 06.03.2016 and is captioned with a portrait of a seated saffron-robed figure. Behind, a crowd of onlookers stands under decorated trees, with a kalasha-topped structure at right. A tall palm and a small child in white appear among the marchers.2016-03-06March 06 20162016-03-06March 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesFebruary 10 20132013-02-10Photo 11701987 +2 copiesFebruary 15 20132013-02-15Night procession on a city road with many devotees in white dhotis and red shawls, carrying red flags and a large maroon banner reading the Hindi script for Nithyananda Dhyanapeetham above a portrait of a figure in red and gold ceremonial dress with garlands. A shaved-headed man in orange-yellow cloth and a rudraksha-style neck garland walks at front and holds a ceremonial embroidered parasol with a painted emblem. Drummers in white sit at left, and a decorated palanquin or chariot with flowers appears at upper right. Street lamps glow in the background.2015-09-15A nighttime procession on a paved ground at a Kumbh Mela site. At centre, a man in white dhoti and red cloth holds up a large printed banner reading a Hindi-style heading; the banner shows a man in orange robes and rudraksha beads with raised arms, the banner being a printed portrait rather than a physical person. Around it, sadhus in orange and white robes, some with white ash on their faces, carry triangular yellow and red ceremonial flags on poles. A man in white carries a brass pot, and another in a blue shawl walks nearby. A woman in white with a red waistband stands at right holding a flag.2013-02-15
