Near the centre, a priest in white dhoti and shawl stands beside a fire pit with rising flames and smoke. Around him, a large seated congregation in white clothing and orange-red shawls sits on mats and floor cushions, with many devotees facing the fire. Behind the fire, an ornate silver and gold throne canopy stands beside a deity murti draped in garlands, and brass oil lamps and kalasha-style vessels are arranged nearby. A brass lamp stand sits in the foreground. Ceiling fans hang above, and a throne with a gold canopy and an elephant-decorated seat appears at the left.2015-07-16October 21 20152015-10-21 +2 copiesA photograph of a large open-air ceremony under a white tent. In the centre, a richly decorated throne with a golden arch is draped in orange and yellow marigold garlands, with a seated figure in the centre, a deity murti. Several priests in white dhotis, some bare-chested, perform rites at a low platform with brass lamps and kalasha-style vessels, while a man in a purple sash stands nearby. Foreground devotees sit facing the altar, many wearing white clothes with red-orange shawls draped over their shoulders. Golden poles with orange and yellow banners frame the scene.2015-07-17February 21 20162016-02-21July 06 20152015-07-06December 20 20162016-12-20 +1 copiesA crowd of devotees gathers in a ceremonial hall before a red draped backdrop with an ornate golden canopy topped with painted panels bearing the word Dhyanapeetham. A tall golden trident stands at centre. A man with long dark hair, a red bindi and a white flower garland over an orange robe with a gold-edged cloth stands at right, facing the crowd, with a probable Swamiji cue: long swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and saffron clothing, placed alongside devotees. Around him men in white dhotis and orange shawls, a bearded man in white, and a woman in a white sari with an orange shawl stand close together. A brass vessel sits at the lower edge, and a photographer in an orange shawl with a camera strap is seen from behind at lower right.2007-01-01
