Sunlight bursts through the branches behind the trunk, creating a bright starburst and lens flare. Hanging aerial roots drape from the limbs around a dark, gnarled trunk. The ground is dirt and fallen leaves, with more trees and a sunlit clearing visible in the background. No people or ritual objects are visible.2006-02-18Photo 11743762 +1 copiesDecember 14 20172017-12-14 +2 copiesNovember 12 20102010-11-12Photo 11715888Photo 11705786A photograph of a large banyan tree with a wide, spreading canopy of dense green leaves. Thick, sprawling horizontal limbs extend outward, and many aerial prop roots hang down from the branches toward the reddish-brown earth. Sunlight filters through the foliage. Low stone or concrete edging and a bare red-soil ground lie beneath the tree, with no people visible in the scene.2008-11-05November 12 20102010-11-12A photograph looking up through a large tree canopy at dusk or in low light.
