Several young boys in orange and red ceremonial dress perform drumming and horn playing: one boy in front plays a large drum while another blows a long curved brass horn, and a boy at right holds a horn raised overhead. Behind them stands a large dark deity murti. Some boys wear white headbands and bare chests with white sashes. Another performer sits on the upper steps at far right.2013-12-30Night scene of a ritual drum ensemble performing outdoors on a paved courtyard. Several men in orange and saffron dhotis with gold borders and white dhotis play large hand-held drums, some with leopard-print covers, and one man on the right blows a long curved brass horn. Many wear rudraksha malas and one has a white vertical tilak on his forehead. A marigold garland hangs at the upper left and a decorated pillar and stone platform stand behind. No single figure is identifiable as a featured teacher; the group is a drumming and horn troupe performing at a pidari-amman puja. +1 copiesJanuary 06 20162016-01-06 +1 copies
