January 11 20162016-01-11A photograph of a ceremonial flag preparation at a temple. A long orange-red cloth lies over a white-sheeted surface beside a bundle of white cord and a red-and-gold bordered red cloth wrapped around a metal rod. Green leaves and grass stalks rest at the edges, and the edge of a white-clothed person sits at the top. The scene reads as preparation for a dhwaja stambha flag-raising.2006-09-29Photo 11724131 +2 copiesTwo bundles wrapped in saffron-orange cloth and tied with twisted golden-yellow cords rest on a polished brass or silver tray.
