A photograph of a Hindu ritual on a raised stage before a backdrop of red and maroon drapes. In the centre, a standing priest with a bare chest, green turban and white dhoti pours liquid from a metal vessel into a fire pit with flames and flower garlands. Two seated men in white dhotis, one bare-chested with a rudraksha-style necklace and one wearing a green-and-gold turban, sit to the right. Behind the fire, a large deity murti is adorned with heaped yellow and orange marigold garlands, a crown and gold-and-green drapery. Brass lamps, a kalasha pot, offering bowls and a small golden box are arranged on the stage. The scene is abhishekam or homa-style worship.

A dim temple interior during a homa fire ritual beside a silver-decorated deity murti garlanded with yellow and red flower strands. In the foreground a fire burns in a brass vessel holding halved coconuts and fruit. Behind it, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti and sacred thread stands at the deity's side, and another priest in white attends nearby. A seated figure in a dark garment with a tilaka on the forehead watches the fire. An orange-robed person sits at the lower left edge, partly visible. A tube light and a lamp light the scene.

A woman in an orange-and-gold sari with a red-and-white flower garland performs a fire ritual before a decorated altar. A homa fire burns on a square of yellow-brown bricks, surrounded by red and white flower arrangements. Behind, a gilded arch frames two decorated deity murti garlanded with red and yellow flowers, one holding a trident. Around her, men in white shirts and orange garments stand with palms pressed together, and a bare-chested young man in an orange robe with rudraksha mala kneels, attending the homa. Brass plates and vessels of offerings sit in the foreground, and a woman in white stands at the right edge. The setting is a colourful temple hall with teal and red walls.

Night temple ritual under an open canopy strung with coloured lights and hanging banners. A fire pit and a rising column of smoke stand before an ornate shrine with a deity murti decorated with garlands and flowers. Priests in white dhotis, one bare-chested with a sacred thread, perform the ritual: one pours or offers from a vessel, another holds a garland, and a man kneels at the fire with a brass lamp. A row of white-clad participants and devotees sits on a striped mat in front. Brass pots, flower-filled trays and plates of petals lie on a striped cloth in the foreground, typical of an abhishekam or homa.

A photograph of a fire ritual inside an ornate temple hall, with a flame and rising smoke over a homa pit lined with brick-like blocks decorated with marigolds and rose petals. A bare-chested priest in a yellow shawl, white dhoti and rudraksha mala stands centre-left, gesturing toward the fire while other priests in white and yellow attend nearby. Attendants in saffron and orange cloth hold brass plates of flower petals and offerings in the foreground, and a flower garland hangs over a decorated altar at right. Brass lamps and vessels sit on the red-and-white floor mat. The figures near the centre appear to be ritual officiants rather than an identifiable individual, so appearance alone does not establish that a person is present.

A photograph of a temple puja inside a shrine room with a flaming fire pit (homa/yagna) in the foreground surrounded by yellow flower offerings and brass plates. Two standing priests perform the ritual: the foreground figure wears a green and gold crown-like headdress, a white dhoti with gold-trimmed border, bare upper body, and a white flower garland, holding a small ritual object; beside him a man in a yellow turban and white dhoti with a garland holds a lamp-like item. Behind them, seated men wear orange and saffron cloth, and a seated devotee on the right holds a brass lamp stand. A garlanded deity murti in ornate jewelled attire stands on a gold and orange throne with a silver-framed backdrop, and a lit oil lamp stands beside it. The a person candidate is not clearly recognisable from appearance, so the standing figures are described by role only.
