Devotees sit on the steps in front of the lingams, mostly bare-chested men in white dhotis with ochre-bordered cloth, with white vibhuti smeared across their chests and foreheads, and their hands pressed together in prayer. An older white-haired woman in a white sari with a gold bangle sits in the lower right foreground, hands folded at her chest. Small oil lamps flicker at the bases of the lingams, and a red cloth flag hangs beside a metal railing on the left. A figure in orange garments stands at the left edge. No identifiable a person is visible; the scene shows a Rudrabhishekam offering to the lingams.2016-11-14A photo of a group of men seated in prayer on red-tiered stone steps, each seated before a dark stone shivalinga-style pillar on a black stone base. Several men are bare-chested, wearing white dhotis; one wears a saffron cloth and orange garland, another has a white-striped forehead and tripundra markings. All have palms pressed together in anjali mudra. Brass kalasha pots and bowls sit on the steps, and a steel water bottle is visible. Tiered steps and offering vessels suggest a ritual satsang gathering.2016-11-11February 27 20142014-02-27November 14 20162016-11-14A row of men seated on red-and-white steps in an outdoor temple setting, with their hands folded in anjali mudra in prayer. The nearest man in front wears a rudraksha mala, a white horizontal tilak with white body markings on his bare upper torso, and an orange cloth draped over his lap. Behind him, other men in white dhotis and orange cloths sit similarly, some with white vibhuti streaks on their faces and chests. Several black stone lingam-shaped objects stand in a line along the left side of the frame, and brass vessels rest near the bottom. No one in the scene is identifiable as a person by the cues described, so no candidate is marked.2016-11-11Photo 11698445
