A crowd of people sit on a bare concrete floor in rows, many eating from metal plates and bowls, some with banana-leaf style trays. A bald man in the foreground wears an orange-saffron cloth around his lower body and is bare-chested, seated with his back to the camera beside a water bottle and a white sack. Other seated people wear white dhotis and shirts, saffron, red and maroon saris, and blue headcloths. A man in white stands near the centre of the tent among the seated diners. Wooden poles support the tent canopy.2012-04-06 +1 copiesAnnadhan during Allahabad Kumbhamela 20132013-01-01 +3 copiesA long open hall with a thatched roof where rows of saffron-robed sadhus sit cross-legged on the floor before banana leaf plates heaped with rice, sweets and offerings. A standing figure in an orange dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a lit flame in hand, moves down the row performing aarti before the seated men. Many seated sadhus wear orange and saffron cloth, orange turbans and pink flower adornments, with white and grey beards and vibhuti marks. Paper cups of water sit beside each leaf, and a tall painted banner behind reads Sree Nithyananda Namaha. Scattered petals lie on the floor. Roughly twenty-five to thirty people are visible in the scene.2011-01-16
