Inside stands a grey stone shivalinga marked with a red-and-white tripundra, surrounded by loose flowers. In front, a framed portrait of an elderly man in a pink shawl is garlanded with white and red flowers, with brass oil lamps on either side and a red and pink cloth spread on the base. A slab at the bottom carries a Tamil inscription, and a tree and fence form the background. No people are physically present.2021-11-15October 27 20202020-10-27Outdoor photograph of a shrine under a large tree, decorated with yellow, red and white garland strings and flower offerings. A dark stone shivalinga sits in a grey stone shrine, with a framed photograph of a bearded man in a garland beside it. To the right, a garlanded statue of a smiling bearded figure with a crown-like turban and a red-and-gold garland sits on a red cloth, with an ornate red and gold canopy behind and brass lamps around. The statue is a depiction, not a physical person. Pink and magenta cloth covers the base and scattered petals lie on the ground. Gold kalasha-style lamps and a fenced field appear in the background.2021-11-15Outdoor inauguration ceremony at a field site under a clear sky. A young man with a shaved-looking head? No: a man wearing a saffron-orange turban and orange cloth wrap over a bare upper body, with a rudraksha mala and a long multicolour garland of yellow, red and white flowers, stands at left facing right while a woman in a white and pink sari and glasses stands behind him. Behind them hangs a large framed portrait showing a seated figure in orange robes with rudraksha beads, above a black signboard edged with white and red flower garlands and hung with mango-leaf and white flower torans. A white-clothed platform and a flagpole with a white flag stand nearby, and some people's hands appear at right in namaste.2006-11-24November 15 20212021-11-15Photo 11698005Photo 11698004A puja arrangement set on the ground before a large framed portrait of a seated man in orange robes with long dark hair, rudraksha mala and a flower garland draped over the picture. A pile of yellow and pink flowers surrounds a red-draped platform holding a brass lamp, a small tray of incense sticks, fruits, coconuts and bananas. A tall orange-cloaked linga-shaped object decorated with flowers stands at the left. Banyan tree roots and a tiled floor are visible, and people's legs stand at the edges. The portrait is a depiction on a print, not a physically present person, and no printed name is clearly legible in the frame.2005-12-11January 23 20032003-01-23Outdoor photo of a black stone statue of a seated sage or saint figure in orange-saffron robes, adorned with rudraksha beads, placed on a red-orange painted rocky mound under a tree canopy within a white carved arch. The statue is draped in garlands of yellow, purple, orange and white flowers. In front, offerings of white cloth bundles and a white feathered object lie on the ground, and a dark snake-like form coils around the base. A woman in a blue sari with a long grey braid stands at the left, facing the shrine with hands folded, and a partly visible person in white clothing stands nearby. A small plaque is mounted at the base. Wooden fencing surrounds the shrine area.2009-12-28
