Outdoor photograph of a procession passing a massive banyan tree with dense hanging aerial roots and a thick trunk. Five men in white dhotis and white shirts walk along sandy ground past large rocks. The man at the front left carries a saffron-orange flag on a pole. A man in the centre holds a dark green cloth bundle. On the right, a man wearing a white shirt and a rudraksha-style beaded necklace walks beneath a colourful multicoloured umbrella that another man holds above him. A white-clad attendant stands behind him. The setting is a shaded grove with bright sky visible through the branches.2007-02-24February 24 20072007-02-24A procession walks along a stone-paved path beneath a large old banyan tree with spreading aerial roots. A central figure in orange ceremonial dress and a crown-like head covering stands under a colourful striped canopy with a fringed border, wearing a garland of orange and red flowers. Around him, several people in saffron-orange robes walk and attend, including women in orange saris. A woven yellow runner stretches along the path ahead. A person in orange bends forward at the left edge. Surrounding structures and a bench are visible under the dense green canopy.2018-12-22June 11 20182018-06-11Photo 11724102 +2 copiesFebruary 01 20182018-02-01August 02 20162016-08-02 +1 copiesJuly 13 20142014-07-13July 20 20052005-07-20October 12 20172017-10-12 +1 copiesA large, sprawling banyan tree dominates the frame, its thick grey trunk and many aerial roots spreading into wide, low-hanging branches with green leaves. Beneath the canopy at right stands a small white open pavilion sheltering a dark stone deity murti or shivalinga-like form decorated with orange and yellow marigold garlands, set on a red painted base. A tall metal pole and light fixture rise nearby, and a white-walled compound edge and sandy ground surround the tree. No people are visible.2008-12-10Outdoor photo beneath a huge old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading branches. Many people in white dhotis and white saris walk across sandy ground, some carrying bags. On the right, a shrine area has a tall orange cloth draped behind a stone structure, with a worshipper in white reaching up toward it and a brass lamp stand nearby, plus red-tinted offerings at the base.
