A central man in a red-maroon turban with a small gold emblem wears a thick white-and-red flower garland, gold necklaces, and a leopard-print cloth over saffron-orange robes, hands pressed at his chest. Behind him, a silver ornate parasol with pendant drops is held aloft, and attendants in saffron robes with rudraksha malas carry silver staffs, tridents and orange banners with a painted emblem. A man in a tall patterned cap holds a flame in cupped hands. Several men with white forehead and arm markings, and women in saffron, follow in the Karthigai Deepam procession; a figure in white stands at the left edge. Roughly twenty people are visible.2013-11-17
