The murti wears a white ornate crown, a garland of yellow flowers, white embroidered garments and holds a red-tipped sword and other red-tipped implements. Behind it stands a gold ornamental backdrop with scrolling foliate patterns. Two seated attendants in orange cloth sit to the right and centre, one wearing a rudraksha mala and tilak. A silver covered pot and a brass vessel sit on the raised platform, with a pink-and-teal cloth beneath. The scene is a puja with an aarti-style lamp offering before the murti.2017-11-15October 30 20162016-10-30 +1 copiesPhoto 11697798Night ritual photograph centred on a large blue-skinned Kali murti with protruding red tongue, a white ornate headdress, a raised sword and a garland of yellow and pink flowers draped over its shoulders and a skull or mask garland. Two young male attendants in orange dhotis stand on either side, one holding a pink flower offering and one adjusting the murti, both bare-chested with rudraksha malas. In the foreground a seated figure with long dark hair and a white flower garland faces the murti. A devotee's head with reddish hair and yellow marigolds rests near the base. The scene suggests a puja or aarti in front of the Kali murti.2016-10-10 +1 copiesNight photograph of a temple ritual before a large blue-faced deity murti of Kali with a white decorated crown, yellow flower garland, and a raised arm holding a sword.
