A procession of musicians walks along a dirt road beside a red compound wall, with bamboo and trees behind them under an overcast sky. Many men and boys wear saffron-orange dhotis and shawls; some wear white upper cloths and white headwraps, and several have orange turbans. They play drums, including a large drum with metallic rims, handheld drums, and a long curved brass horn raised by one player. A young boy in orange stands near the centre of the group. On the right, a shaven-headed man in orange wears rudraksha malas and stands at the edge of the road. This is a ceremonial drum and horn procession.2015-11-10November 14 20152015-11-14 +2 copiesDecember 18 20132013-12-18December 24 20152015-12-24November 17 20152015-11-17November 13 20152015-11-13Photo 11696242November 10 20152015-11-10 +1 copiesDecember 28 20152015-12-28February 27 20142014-02-27A night-time photograph of a group of young men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls performing a brass horn and drum procession along a paved walkway beside a stone wall and bamboo. Several players blow long curved brass horns (kombu-style) while others carry white drums slung at the waist. Most have bare chests, rudraksha-style necklaces and white forehead markings. One central figure in a white dhoti with a gold-trimmed waistband walks between the players. Strings of lights and a white canopy overhead, with a few onlookers in the background.2017-07-07February 13 20162016-02-13
