A tall man in a red-brown and gold-bordered sannyasi garment and a red turban, with an orange-and-white flower garland and a rudraksha mala, raises one arm and holds a silver staff. Around him, shaven-headed men in matching red-brown robes hold a metal pot and a small cup. A woman in white with a gold border kneels on the steps, touching the stone, while another devotee in white climbs the stairs barefoot. The scene suggests a pilgrimage visit to a river temple, with the swami figure appearing as a probable candidate by his turban, garland and ornate robes.2015-10-03
