A central figure in a rust-brown silk dhoti and wrap with a gold-embroidered border stands on a black tiled floor, smiling, wearing a crown-like headpiece with red and white plumes, layered gold necklaces, and a red-and-white flower garland. They hold a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass vessel in the other, with flower petals scattered at their feet. Behind them, a row of men in matching rust and saffron robes with white forehead markings and bare upper bodies stand holding brass kalasha pots, trays and ceremonial staffs. Left background shows a golden deity murti decorated with garlands, a white-clad attendant, and a shrine draped in red flowers.2013-12-27Photo 11695117 +1 copiesDecember 05 20142014-12-05Night-time temple scene at a shrine beneath a large tree. In the foreground, a woman in a red-orange sari with a red-and-gold border and a red turban holds a lit oil lamp with both hands, a flower garland around her neck. Beside her, several people in white dhotis and shawls with gold borders stand with palms pressed together in namaste. Further back, men in saffron-orange robes and a man in white kurta stand near a wooden staff and a small decorated umbrella. On the right, a large golden deity murti with a crown and ornate jewellery is draped in dense garlands of marigold and rose. Small offerings and flowers lie at the base, and a second oil lamp burns on the ground.2014-12-05November 13 20152015-11-13 +1 copies
