May 19 20152015-05-19March 08 20052005-03-08Outdoor procession on a dirt path in bright daylight. In the centre, a man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe, a white and orange flower garland, a rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, and carries a golden trident. Beside him, another orange-robed sadhu holds a golden staff. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and white shirts hold large ornate parasols with red, yellow and green panels and dove motifs, and orange flags fly above. Many white-clad devotees and orange-clad sadhus follow in the crowd, with a tent structure in the background. The central figure appears to be Swamiji (probable), based on long swept-back hair, saffron robe, floral garland and ceremonial gold necklaces.2008-12-28A procession moves along a dusty dirt road under bright sunlight. At the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes and a long white flower garland wears a headdress with long dark hair and a red-and-gold mark, and holds a tall trident and a staff. Behind and beside him, several saffron-robed sannyasis carry long wooden poles, and a crowd of devotees in white dhotis and shirts with rudraksha malas walks alongside. Three large umbrellas in red, blue, green and yellow with fringed edges shade the group, and a large ornate orange and gold banner with floral motifs is held aloft at the left. Tents and a banner-decorated stall stand in the background.2008-12-28Photo 11690957January 19 20072007-01-19Photo 11690954Photo 11690956A long procession of white-clad devotees walks along a dusty unpaved dirt road under a pale sky with trees behind. At right, a man in white with an orange-bordered dhoti plays a large handheld drum, and another person beside him plays a horn. Several men wear rudraksha-style neck garlands. The crowd stretches back into the distance, with more participants visible behind the front group.2004-01-01Outdoor procession on a dirt path with a grassy hillside and mango trees behind. Women in white sarees with gold borders walk in front carrying brass trays of offerings with green leaves and flowers. Behind them, a woman in an orange saree with a long garland walks between men in white dhotis and orange shawls. Men in white hold a decorated red and blue ceremonial canopy (ratha-style umbrella) and tall poles bearing a fringed ornamental standard. A white van is parked on the right beside a man in a striped shirt, and orange and white flags fly from poles along the path.2008-11-11December 29 20092009-12-29December 15 20142014-12-15 +1 copies
