A priest in an orange dhoti, bare-chested with rudraksha on his neck, stands on a red carpet at right, holding a lamp toward the deity. Brass trishula staffs and a tall brass lamp stand flank the murti, with offerings and a small oil lamp on a tray at its base. A framed photograph of a person in red clothing with hands joined hangs on the wall at right. The deity murti, not a living person, is the central subject.2016-10-31 +2 copiesA photograph of an aarti offering before a golden deity murti seated on a golden deer-form vahana in a gilded arched niche. The murti is draped in multicoloured garlands and a mint-green cloth, with a crown on its head. A man in a rust-red and saffron-bordered dhoti and shawl, with bare upper body and white markings on his forehead and arms, holds a lit multi-wick brass lamp toward the deity. Brass oil lamps stand on the floor, potted green plants and stones are on the left, and fruit offerings sit on a red cloth at the base. Dark maroon curtains frame the room.2015-02-24
