Seated before him on a mat are villagers, including children in school uniforms and women in colourful saris, watching attentively. Beside the lower left, an older man in white with hands pressed together sits in prayer. A young man in white with an orange shawl sits at right. Fruit and a small offering plate lie on the ground in front. Many onlookers stand in the background.2009-01-29Outdoor ritual gathering in a village setting with palm trees and thatched huts behind. A shaved-headed monk in a saffron-orange robe bends over a red tray holding a fire with offerings, flowers and small brass vessels, apparently a homa-style fire ritual. Seated devotees on mats in the foreground, including an older man in white with an orange shawl and hands pressed together, and many children sitting in rows behind. Some standing people in white and other colours watch from the back. A barefoot man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with a long rudraksha mala, raises a brass arati lamp with flame toward the sky while holding a small handbell in the other hand. Behind him a woman in white with a bindi and dark standing figures watch. Seated in the foreground, a bearded man in white clothes gestures with open hands beside a wooden side table bearing a brass kalasha and a brass puja vessel, and a row of brass pots and a plate of fruit and flowers lie on the ground. Several seated and standing devotees in white clothes surround the scene, and a rudraksha-adorned priest figure stands at the centre.2004-07-02November 10 20112011-11-10Annadhan in 20142014-01-01 +2 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes with a matching orange head covering sits with palms pressed together in namaskar before a ritual setup. He wears a rudraksha mala and gold ceremonial beads, and has a white tripundra mark on his forehead. In front of him are brass vessels, a plate of pink and orange flowers, a pot of kumkum, and a white leaf plate with a small dark deity figure and pink flower petals, laid out on a blue cloth. Behind him, around 15 devotees in white and yellow sit in rows under banana leaves, with a few men in white shirts seated further back. The scene suggests a chandi homa or puja in an outdoor pavilion.2009-09-26December 16 20102010-12-16June 05 20132013-06-05A shaven-headed man in saffron-orange robes and gold necklaces carries a silver tray with a red cloth bundle tied with gold-yellow ribbon, bowing his head toward it. Behind him a second man in orange clothing stands in the foreground, with a blurred crowd of people in white clothes in the background, some with hands folded in prayer. The setting appears to be an outdoor evening ceremony.2011-11-10Annadhan during Nasik Kumbhamela 20152015-01-21 +2 copies
