September 30 20142014-09-30A deity murti stands in a flower-decorated shrine, adorned with white and red floral garlands and a large golden serpent (naga) rising behind it. The central figure wears a pink and maroon garment, a tall crown, and layered white and red necklaces. Two smaller attendant figures flank it, also in pink and maroon with crowns and garlands, set against green and white floral arrangements. A copper kalasha sits at the base beside the golden snake's coiled form, and the shrine is framed in gold trim with a red and gold cloth below.2011-06-09A photograph of a decorated shrine with three deity murtis, presumably Hindu images, under an ornate golden canopy. The central figure wears a jeweled crown, a gold and red-stoned necklace, a white dhoti with gold border and a red cloth, and holds a sword-like staff while a large cobra with raised hood coils around it. Flanking figures, one in green and one in blue saris with tall crowns and heavy gold jewelry, stand on either side. Garlands of red, yellow, white and green flowers hang around the figures and blue ornate pillars frame the scene. A silver vessel sits in the foreground. No people are physically present.2014-09-30December 24 20132013-12-24Photo 11682558 +1 copiesJune 28 20142014-06-28 +1 copiesJune 09 20112011-06-09June 28 20142014-06-28 +1 copiesPhoto 11737860Three statues stand together on a decorated altar before a tiled wall. Left, a figure in a brown turban, bejewelled necklaces and a saffron-brown garment holds a hand in a blessing gesture; a statue labelled as a portrait is not visible, so this is a statue of a sage. Centre, a deity murti with a tall ornate crown, layered gold jewellery and a white dhoti stands on a pedestal with raised hands. Right, a female deity murti wears a tall crown, pearl-and-gem necklaces and a purple garment. Yellow marigold and red rose garlands frame all three figures, and a silver plate of offerings sits at the base beside a bundle of flowers on a purple cloth.2014-06-28 +1 copiesPhoto 11691644February 24 20152015-02-24
