A single small floating lamp with a flame drifts on the water in the centre-left. On the far bank, a crowd of people stands along a railing under street lights, and a stone temple structure with arched openings rises at the right. Several bright lamps are visible on posts above the crowd.2006-06-04July 27 20142014-07-27A photograph of a tall, bright fire burning in a raised earthen fire pit at night, with flames rising vertically against a dark background. Small metal bowls with decorative edges sit on the pit's rim and at lower left. Part of a person's arm and white garment is faintly visible behind the flames at centre, but no full figure is clear. The surrounding area is dark and indistinct.2009-05-28Night photograph of a long-haired man in orange-saffron robes and a rudraksha mala standing waist-deep in the Ganges at Hari ki Pauri, Haridwar, lifting a large flaming aarti lamp toward the river. A second man in white stands beside him in the water. Illuminated bridge with a crowd of onlookers lining the bank and the far shore behind them, lit by street lamps. Golden reflections ripple across the dark water. The orange-robed man with long swept-back hair and rudraksha beads matches the page's probable Swamiji cues, so this is an in-person candidate performing ganga aarti.2005-06-06April 24 20182018-04-24 +1 copiesA night photograph of an aarti ritual. A bare arm wearing a bangle and a metal bracelet holds up a brass aarti lamp with a tall, flickering flame rising from its wick, with wisps of smoke drifting upward. The background is dark, with blurred string lights strung across it and faint silhouettes of people at the bottom edge.2010-12-30
