A long-haired figure in a rust-red and saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala stands centre, receiving a bowl of fruit and flowers from a man in white shirt and dhoti. A bald priest in saffron and gold-edged cloth with a rudraksha mala stands at right beside him. A crowd of devotees presses around, some with palms joined, others in saffron or white clothing. Behind them a shrine or altar is decorated with a banana-leaf canopy, garlands and a striped red-and-white railing, with a deity murti and flower-covered offerings in the background. A bright lamp lights the scene.2014-07-03Photo 11730897Crowded evening scene under a white tent with banana leaves and hanging mango leaves.
