Photo 117427182014-07-03A dense outdoor crowd presses around a central figure in a crowded village street lined with trees and low buildings. A man in a red and gold turban and a flower garland stands at the centre, with saffron-robed men, some shaved-headed, close around him. Many men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing rudraksha malas, reach toward him. A white van with an open side door and a lit oil lamp stands at left, and a camera with a pink screen is visible at right. Several people are holding up hands and phones, and a man in a white N.D.S.S. t-shirt is prominent in the foreground.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01June 19 20142014-06-19 +1 copiesJuly 01 20142014-07-01Photo 11687582 +4 copiesJuly 28 20082008-07-28 +1 copiesA dense crowd of men, women and children packs an open outdoor area under a tin-roofed canopy, many pressing forward with raised hands and phones. In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in white with a saffron-and-gold bordered cloth and a rudraksha mala stands at the bottom edge, while a man in a white shirt and a man in a checked pink shirt with a rudraksha mala guide the crowd. Elderly women in white and blue saris stand at right. Many people wear white dhotis and shirts; a young woman in an orange top stands in the upper centre. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person, so the scene is recorded only by roles and actions.2011-05-17December 20 20112011-12-20Photo 11687451
