February 10 20142014-02-10Night photo of a large dark black stone Shiva lingam on a tiered black pedestal, decorated with a vertical garland of white, yellow and purple flowers. A white-clad priest in a white dhoti and shawl stands on a metal staircase reaching up to the lingam, pouring or offering something onto its top. Several monks in orange and saffron robes stand on the stairs and landing behind him, and a fourth figure in orange stands at the far left against a white wall. Rows of clay pots line the stepped backdrop. A small purple flag with a white bird emblem is visible at the upper left. This appears to be a rudrabhishekam ritual on the lingam.2013-12-30Night photograph of a large dark blue-black Shivalingam being bathed with liquid that streams down its surface, with a multicolour flower garland draped over its top.
