December 06 20112011-12-06Interior of a round thatched temple hall with a bamboo lattice wall and a conical thatched roof. At the centre sits a seated figure on a red and gold throne, adorned with a yellow and white flower garland and a sheaf of peacock feathers behind it, with a tall orange cloth backdrop bearing a framed picture above. Brass lamps and a red-and-white floor kolam with a lotus pattern lie before the throne. Framed photographs hang on the lattice walls, including a row of three portraits on the left and a small framed picture on the right. A wooden cabinet and a standing fan stand along the right side. No people are visible in the room.2011-12-06A photograph inside a round thatched hut with woven palm walls. A figure with long dark hair wearing a saffron-orange robe sits cross-legged on a red throne with red cushions, hands in a meditative mudra. Around them on woven mats sit about seven men in white shirts and white dhotis or trousers, one in a light shirt and dark trousers, one with a shaved head and an orange cloth, seated in a half circle facing the throne. A small hand drum and a microphone stand sit at the left, and a pair of decorative lamps with red offerings lies on the mat in front of the throne. Appearance cues on the seated figure (long hair, saffron robe, throne) are consistent with a probable Swamiji, so the figure is labelled as such.2004-04-16Interior of a round, thatched-roof temple hall with a lattice-walled enclosure and a single fluorescent tube light. At the centre, a raised seat holds a garlanded portrait or murti with a saffron cloth draped behind it and a framed photo placed in front. Yellow and white flower garlands hang around the seat, with brass lamps and offerings on the low platform. Framed photographs line the walls, and a floor painted with white lotus and kolam-style designs leads toward the altar. A standing fan and a wooden cabinet stand at the right side. No people are visible.2011-12-06December 06 20112011-12-06Photo 116832212001 - KAILASA in Tiruchengode (activities yet to be dated)July 10 20102010-07-10 +2 copies2001 - KAILASA in Tiruchengode (activities yet to be dated) +2 copiesNovember 06 20112011-11-06 +1 copiesNovember 20 20112011-11-20 +1 copiesA photograph of a devotional gathering inside a room with a shrine wall. Framed portraits and deity images hang on the walls, and garlands of orange flowers decorate the shrine. Three figures sit at the front near the shrine: a man in orange clothing at the centre with a long-sleeved tunic, a man in a yellow garment beside him, and a person in white at the right. Seated devotees on striped mats face the front, including several women in colourful saris (green, pink, red, yellow) and men in white and checked shirts. Some attendees sit in the foreground, and a wooden door with a decorative glass panel is at the right. The gathering appears to be a satsang or puja in progress.
