A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushioned armrests and carved lion-like side panels. He wears a saffron shawl over a saffron dhoti and has a mala around his neck, with his hands resting in his lap. Behind him, a large banyan tree with aerial roots and lush foliage forms the backdrop, with a dark wooden stand beside the throne. The setting suggests a darshan or seating ceremony. Saffron robes and ceremonial gold throne are the prominent cues.2011-11-20Photo 11683745 +1 copiesAugust 27 20112011-08-27October 22 20112011-10-22A photograph of one man seated cross-legged on an ornate gilded throne with a carved golden arch and lion-like motifs, backed by a red velvet cushion. He wears a saffron-orange robe draped over his shoulders, a small red bindi on his forehead, and a thin dark cord. His hands rest on his lap and he smiles calmly. Red tiger-striped cushions flank the throne on a gold platform, with fruit visible at the lower left and a dark backdrop with a light sky pattern behind. Appearance-based label: a person, seated in person on the throne, in saffron robes with a bindi and cord.December 06 20112011-12-06August 28 20112011-08-28Photo 11684010December 09 20112011-12-09Photo 11683764January 14 20122012-01-142011 - Photo Album
