Five-panel collage of temple puja scenes. Left top: a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti with a red sash rings a bell before a deity murti under a multicoloured umbrella canopy. Left middle: a priest in white dhoti and red sash holds a bell and a silver plate of offerings beside a decorated murti with marigold garlands and a golden crown. Right top: a large decorated deity murti under a striped canopy, garlanded with marigolds and roses, with a yellow and green silk cloth. Right bottom: seated devotees on a floor of a hall watch a screen showing the same deity while a woman and others sit in rows. The left and right top panels show ritual worship and the bottom panel shows devotees attending a satsang-style gathering; no single physical person is clearly identifiable as a person.2011-09-09September 05 20112011-09-05 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple-style ritual set before a large dark stone deity murti of Ganesha, adorned with orange silk drapery, a red-and-yellow flower garland, a golden crown and gold jewellery, seated in a carved arched niche with maroon curtains.
