A photograph of a dark opening in a large banyan tree, its thick aerial roots wrapped around the entrance. A single flame burns in a shallow oil lamp inside the cavity, glowing against the darkness. Strands of marigold and chrysanthemum garlands in yellow, white, magenta and purple hang across the tree roots above. Stone blocks frame the entrance at the bottom, and a blue sign with white capital letters reading DO NO is partly visible at the right. No people are visible.2011-08-18August 18 20112011-08-18September 26 20122012-09-26A large old banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots forms a cave-like hollow at its base.
