In the foreground, one man with joined palms bows his head; others hold flower garlands, rudraksha malas and small brass vessels, and oil lamps and offerings lie on the mat. Stainless steel railings and an orange cloth edge frame the hall. The men are devotees or priests; no one is clearly identifiable as the a person from appearance, as they wear only white ritual clothing.2010-11-04Photo 11681741July 30 20112011-07-30July 13 20112011-07-13July 20 20112011-07-20August 13 20112011-08-13July 31 20112011-07-31A seated group of men in white ritual dhotis and shawls sits cross-legged on orange and red mats in a hall, eyes closed in meditation. Several wear rudraksha malas and have white sacred markings on their foreheads and arms. Brass oil lamps, small bowls and pots of offerings sit on the floor in front of them, with colourful deity murti and decorations visible in the background. The posture and white clothing suggest a group puja or meditation session, with a watermarked archive copyright notice in the lower corner.2010-10-25
