A probable Swamiji candidate: long swept-back hair, ceremonial gold ornaments and orange-saffron ceremonial clothing, seated on a gilded peetha with a tiger-striped cloth. Around him, devotees in white clothes with orange lanyards kneel and tend the offerings: one man in white holds a tray, a woman in white pours or arranges items, and another woman in white with a red bindi sits at the right edge. Brass bells and hanging lamps hang above, with a black wall and a wall-mounted air conditioner behind. The scene reads as a ritual padapuja with lamps and flower offerings.2013-05-16February 06 20142014-02-06 +1 copiesA seated man on an ornate gold throne with a tiger-motif base wears a saffron-orange robe, a red and white flower garland, and a shaved-tilak-free forehead with vertical mark, with the hair swept back. A devotee in saffron-orange shawl and others in red shawls and white and yellow clothing offer flower-decorated silver thalis and gather around a central puja tray. Brass oil lamps and hanging bells surround the throne, and an air conditioner is mounted on the dark wall. Appearance-based label: a person seated on the throne in saffron robe and garland; the throne, garland and robe are the cues. Devotees perform a puja with flowers and lamps.2013-05-25
