Close photo of a fire pit at night, with tall orange flames and smoke rising from a dark stone or brick hearth. Flowers in red, pink, orange and yellow lie on the hearth beside the flames, and a metal vessel sits at the right edge. A partially visible hand appears at the top right. No people are clearly visible apart from that hand, and no one can be identified in the frame. Consistent with a homa or fire offering.2018-01-06April 14 20182018-04-14April 14 20182018-04-14April 14 20182018-04-14A close photograph of a bundle of dried grass or straw held in a hand at right, its tip burning with bright orange flames and trailing dark charred fibres. Below, a polished silver ritual tray holds a pile of black charred material with glowing embers. The blurred background shows orange-red cloth. Only the partial hand is visible; no faces are shown.2013-11-07March 03 20182018-03-03March 29 20132013-03-29Close photo of a priest's hand and forearm holding a metal lamp stand with a lit camphor flame during a Shiva ritual. The priest wears a dark garment and beaded rudraksha-style bracelets. In front, a black Shiva lingam is decorated with red and white flower garlands and a pink rose. Blurred gold ornaments, necklaces and a red cloth fill the background.2015-02-17 +1 copiesA close photograph of an aarti lamp held aloft by two hands at the lower edge of the frame. A tall flame rises from a brass camphor lamp with a cup-shaped bowl and a handle, set against a dark backdrop. To the left, a blurred gold deity murti or ornament sits beside a garland of red and white flowers. Behind, a blurred red and dark screen with coloured panels. No faces are visible, and the scene suggests an aarti offering during a satsang.2018-04-23April 14 20182018-04-14January 06 20182018-01-06April 14 20182018-04-14
