April 14 20182018-04-14A man in a rust-orange sannyasi-style wrap with gold border and a gold-bead necklace walks toward the viewer across a paved courtyard, with a white-clad attendant behind him carrying a tray. The man has a white horizontal tilak and a red dot on his forehead. A red woven mat lies in the foreground beside a brick wall and trees. The man's appearance shows several cues such as the saffron-orange robe, ornate gold necklace and forehead markings, but identity remains uncertain from appearance alone, so he is described by role as a sannyasi-clad man and the white-clad attendant is a priest or assistant. A man with long dark dreadlocks, a vibhuti mark on his forehead, a gold pendant necklace, red and yellow marigold garlands and a red-brown dhoti stands at left, holding a wooden tray covered with an orange cloth and a few dried grass stalks. Facing him at right, a second man with grey-streaked long hair, a rudraksha mala, bare shoulders with white ash markings, a white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha armband holds the other end of the tray. A rope runs past them and a patterned cloth covers the platform beneath them.2016-08-27September 17 20172017-09-17A photograph of a procession at an ashram with a central figure wearing a green leaf garland layered with white jasmine and red flower garlands, rudraksha beads, and multiple ceremonial gold necklaces over a saffron-orange garment. He has long dark hair, a white vertical tilak with a red bindi, and gold earrings. Beside him, a bald man in saffron robes with a gold pendant necklace and white forehead markings gestures. Behind them, men in white dhotis and bare-chested devotees with white tilak walk among orange ceremonial umbrellas with floral embroidery, banana plants and flower decorations in the background.2013-01-06A procession moves along a shaded covered walkway past a table draped in striped cloths and holding small framed images and flower-decorated items. At the centre, a bearded man in a rust-red robe, red turban with a tilak, layered gold chains, and a white flower garland walks barefoot, smiling. Around him, men wear saffron and orange dhotis, white dhotis with gold borders, rudraksha malas and white ash markings on their foreheads and arms. A white ceremonial parasol with hanging bead decorations and a golden staff stands overhead. Another man at right wears a rudraksha mala and white dhoti.2016-12-23A temple ritual scene with a man in a rust-brown dhoti-style garment and a large pink and white flower garland walking barefoot on a striped mat in a decorated hall. He wears a dark turban, gold necklaces and a bare upper body with arm bands. Behind him, a man in white dhoti with gold border and a man in orange robes holding a ceremonial fly-whisk and a flower-decked ritual object stand nearby. Pink and yellow decorative umbrellas, banana leaves, marigold and orchid garlands, and a golden chair-like seat frame the setting, with a screen showing a crowd in the background. The man in the center is a person by appearance cues (turban, gold ornaments, garland) and is shown in_person.2018-04-14A photograph inside a temple-like hall with red draped curtains and a golden deity shrine behind. In the centre, a man in a rust-red robe with a pink-and-white flower garland and a gold pendant walks forward smiling, with a red tilak on his forehead. Beside him, a man with long swept-back hair wears a white dhoti with gold border, a long brown rudraksha-style mala and gold necklace, and holds a small paper. On the left, several people in orange-red robes stand with hands folded in reverence near a golden nandi-shaped vahana and a golden ornamental pedestal. A devotee on the far right in orange clothes also folds hands. The scene suggests a devotional gathering or ceremony.2017-10-01December 23 20162016-12-23December 06 20162016-12-06
