May 24 20162016-05-24A seated man in rust-orange robes with a long brown rudraksha mala draped over his shoulders sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion. He rests his right hand on the head of a young girl in a gold brocade outfit with a flower garland, who sits at his feet and holds his left hand. To the right, a woman in a rust-orange sari with a gold border holds a tray of pink flowers and a small lamp. Gold ceremonial staffs and a gilded backdrop with deity relief carvings frame the scene.2016-05-24A seated man in rust-red saffron robes and a thick brown rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, smiling as he places his right hand on the head of a young girl in a yellow-orange dress. A rudraksha mala hangs on her neck and the girl leans forward with her eyes closed. The man holds a silver plate of pink flower petals in his left hand. Golden decorative carvings, a gold lion-shaped armrest, and a gold ceremonial staff frame the scene against dark red draping. Appearance-based label: a person, seated and blessing the child, with a rudraksha mala and rust-red robes as the qualifying cues. The scene suggests a flower-offering blessing ritual.2016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24Photograph of a satsang-style blessing in a decorated hall. A man with long swept-back black hair, a white tilak on his forehead, an orange wrap, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace places his right hand on the head of a seated woman in green who bows forward. Behind him a golden throne with red cushions and a second orange-robed figure in a saffron turban and flower garland sits in front of a painted forest backdrop, with an oil lamp visible at right. Probable Swamiji (long hair, orange wrap, rudraksha mala, gold necklace) is the one giving the blessing, with the seated woman receiving it.2012-10-07May 06 20162016-05-06May 24 20162016-05-24A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala places his right hand on the forehead of a young woman with long dreadlocked hair, who wears a red-orange shawl over a dark top and sits in front of him. A gold-embossed ornate backdrop with a deity relief surrounds the seat, and a red cushion rests below. At the lower right, another person in orange holds a metal plate with pink flower petals. The scene suggests a blessing or initiation moment. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has long swept-back hair, saffron robes, and a rudraksha mala, and is shown in a central ceremonial role.2016-05-24October 12 20172017-10-12A seated man with long dreadlocks and a short beard, wearing an orange-saffron shawl over bare shoulders and a gold ceremonial necklace, places his right hand on the crown of a woman's head. She sits with eyes closed, wearing an orange sari, hoop earrings and a rudraksha mala, with a bindi and hair in a bun. The man sits on a leopard-print cushioned seat in front of ornate gold carved panels. Behind them, a cameraman films from a tripod, and several women in orange saris and rudraksha malas stand with hands folded in anjali. The man's appearance with long hair, saffron clothing and gold necklace matches the Swamiji candidate cues, so this is a probable in-person depiction of Swamiji (probable) giving blessing to a devotee.2017-10-12October 12 20172017-10-12A photograph of a long-haired man with a white forehead mark and a rust-red cloth draped over his shoulders, wearing a multi-strand gold bead necklace, pressing his hand on the head of a short-haired young man in a white t-shirt and red-patterned shawl. The young man's palms are pressed together in devotion. Behind them stands a gold deity murti and a silver staff, with a peacock-feather fan in the foreground and red drapes in the background. The setting suggests a blessing or initiation moment. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man wears a rudraksha-style gold bead necklace and a ritual cloth, with long swept hair; his identity is an appearance-based label only.2014-07-21
