October 02 20152015-10-02October 02 20152015-10-02Indoor photograph of a seated conversation on a patterned carpet. A shaved-headed sannyasi in an orange robe sits kneeling, bare-shouldered, with a yellow-orange tilak on his forehead, facing an older man with swept-back grey hair and a white moustache. The older man wears a white shirt, a dark waistcoat, a striped blue-and-white shawl over the shoulders, beaded necklaces and red and white wrist threads, and holds a small folded paper. Behind them, a woman in a pink outfit and other people in orange and white robes stand in a hall with a white chair and a bright arched backdrop. Two people are visible in the foreground, with others partially visible in the background, so the count is limited to those clearly seen.2016-07-11 +1 copiesOutdoor scene on stone steps beside a tall plastered wall under a clear blue sky. Many shirtless men wearing orange dhoti-style wraps stand and sit on the steps, some with white paste or ash smeared on their bodies and faces. In the centre, an older man with grey-streaked hair, white paste on his face and chest, and a rudraksha mala around his neck raises one hand and looks toward the camera. A younger shirtless man in an orange wrap stands at right, and a crowd of similarly dressed participants is visible behind them. Gold-topped finial and a small shrine structure appear at the left edge.2018-12-22April 29 20182018-04-29 +1 copiesApril 29 20182018-04-29 +1 copiesJune 02 20162016-06-02June 02 20162016-06-02June 02 20162016-06-02A photo of a row of devotees seated outdoors in front of a red brick wall, each beside a black stone shivalinga with a small oil lamp flame. Several men sit bare-chested in white dhotis, one with white hair and a beard holding a small brass bell, others holding lit diyas or offerings toward the lingas. Rudraksha malas and gold bangles are visible. Behind them, rows of small black stone lingas and yoni-pitha bases line the walkway. This appears to be a group puja or abhishekam ritual. No individual is identified as a person by appearance.2016-11-07A shirtless man with a shaved head and white paste marks on his face and chest stands outdoors in front of stepped stone steps leading down to water. He presses his palms together in anjali namaskar and smiles at the camera. He wears a bangle on one wrist and several thin cords with a small pendant and a red bead around his neck. Behind him the terraced stone tank steps are lined with small carved stone structures.2018-12-22 +1 copiesJune 05 20122012-06-05
