Close-up photo of a foot-washing ritual. A bare foot in the upper left wears an orange-and-gold garment hem; the foot rests over a large polished silver tray with scalloped edges. A person's hands hold a silver pot-shaped vessel and pour water over the foot, which is being washed. A wristwatch with a brown strap is visible on the pouring wrist. Water pools on the stone floor. A second bare-footed person may be partly visible at the top, but only feet and hands are seen. The scene suggests padapuja-style foot washing, rendered plainly.2012-06-04Close-up photograph of a person's bare feet being washed in a shallow round silver-coloured tray or plate with scalloped edges, filled with water. A hand grips a polished metal pot or kalasha pouring water over the feet. The wearer has an orange-and-gold cloth at the ankle, a brown leather wristwatch, and dark rudraksha beads hanging at the right edge. The floor is polished reddish-pink stone. The image shows a padapuja-style foot washing; only the feet and hand are visible, with no identifiable face.2012-06-04Close photo of a padapuja-style foot ritual. Several hands hold silver cups and pink lotus flowers, and a bearer's hand wearing gold bangles and an orange garment holds the foot. Bright silver and gilded plates surround the scene, with a pink lotus blossom at the top. Only hands, forearms and one bare foot are visible, so the person whose foot is being washed is not identifiable from this frame.2010-11-03August 13 20112011-08-13Close-up photo of a padapuja ritual: a person in an orange robe has bare feet resting on a golden tray, while a hand pours milk from a silver vessel over the feet. Other hands hold silver bowls and a red apple sits in a silver dish nearby, with pink flower petals and a gold lamp at the left edge. The scene shows only feet, hands and robe, so the identity of the person in orange cannot be determined from appearance.2010-11-09October 14 20102010-10-14Close photo of bare feet in an orange robe being ritually washed as a padapuja. Two hands, one holding a silver cup, pour liquid over the feet, while a silver tray holds pink lotus flowers, white jasmine-like blossoms, a small brass lamp and silver bowls. The feet belong to a figure in saffron-orange clothing; the face is not visible. Only the feet, hands and sleeves appear, so physical people are limited to the washing hands and the feet, with a second person's white-clad arm at the lower edge.2010-10-29Close-up photograph of a padapuja ritual: a hand pours water from a silver vessel with a long spout over bare feet of a person wearing an orange robe, onto pink lotus flowers and white jasmine-like blossoms arranged on a gold-toned tray. At right, a person in an orange-saffron garment stands, and at left a person in white dhoti clothing with a gold-bordered cloth and a beaded rudraksha-style mala is partly visible. Only the lower bodies and hands of the participants are shown, with no faces visible. The foreground is blurred by a hand. Several people are partially visible, so the count is a small group.2012-06-05Close-up of a padapuja ritual: a pair of bare feet with toes resting on a gold tray of flowers, pink petals and an apple. A hand in a bangle holds a silver cup of water while another hand in white sleeve pours or rests a silver vessel near the feet. Silver bowls and offerings surround the tray. Only hands and feet of the people are visible, so the figure's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance.2011-11-26
